Caught your last show at Tin Lizzies and as always, you were great. We Live in Riverton Wy. and travel 6 hours to catch your shows in Deadwood. Your respect and love for The Beatle's music shines through in your performances! We enjoy you CD too. Thanks for a great time. Pam & Greg Hubenka
Hey Guys, I just wanted to drop you a quick note to let you know how much I enjoyed the show this past saturday night (June 18, 2005).The wife and I are currently sitting hear listening to your CD which you were all kind enough to sige for me, thanks again for that nice touch. She was not able to see you in person yet, but, now wants to plan a trip up to see you in person. Thanks again...it made the long bike trip home a treat, as I kept playing the show over in my head.. "Where are we going fellas?" " To the topamost Johnny, to the topamost." Strawberry Fields Forever, Bill (Loveland, CO)
YOU GUYS ROCK... Was there for 04 Kool Deadwood Nights. Big Fan, Can't wait for this year!!!Mooser55
Guys, You are the best I have ever heard. You guys are soooo awesome!!! I have seen you perform (I'm sure) more than I have fingers and toes. To be honest, I never really liked the Beatles until my mom had me listen to them and then you. I can not wait to see you again sometime soon. (That has got to be awesome speaking that not many 14 year olds are dying to hear Beatles music!) Just thought I would drop a line to say how wonderful you are, and to keep up the good work. My mom and I truthfully enjoy it. Melissa Tschetter
Where is your website? See ya on the river. Katt
Hi Fred, It was great meeting you on Saturday night (May 14) and hearing the Abbey Road Band. What a talented group of guys! We both grew up with the Beatles, so listening to all of those old songs was really a treat. We had such a great time, and you can definitely count on us to tell all of our friends and family about the Abbey Road Band. I have family coming for a Reunion on the weekend of July 16, and I see that you will be at Tin Lizzie's again. I thought it would be fun to see if I can get some of my family over to Tin Lizzie's to listen to you guys. I know we would have lots of fun. I'm hoping to get over to see you before July and bring some friends, but we'll have to see. Look forward to seeing you again soon. Linda H. Spearfish, SD
We sure enjoyed your show, you guys really sound authentic. I grew up with the Beatles, too, so that dates me right there! Brought back loads of memories. I checked out your website, and you all have such impressive credentials and experience. A big thing that really showed in your show was how much you enjoy doing what you do, along with the high level of skill. I hope you can come back to Sheridan, at least on an annual basis. Maybe next time it could be a dance venue. Must be fun performing to Deadwood audiences, it's such a neat area. I'll put in a word for you all as I network the area for gigs. Good luck, I hope to see (and hear) you all again. Leslie
You guys totaly totaly ROCK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
Hey guys! Lookin forward to seeing you at Tin Lizzies again. Cliff and Virg. From Lead You Rock!! See you next Month
Hi Fred and crew, Thanks so much for a very enjoyable evening on Saturday, April 16th. What a way to spend my birthday!! The before the show party was great and the show was really fantastic. You guys really know your Beatles. It was a real surprise to have you mention my birthday before the song "Birthday"....very nice...THANKS! I am attaching a couple pictures of the evening. Take care and hope to see you again sometime. Steve (49?!) and wife Carol
Hi Just listened to some of your renditions via your Abbey Road site. Really very impressive. And I am a complete snob when it comes to tribute bands - and I was very impressed by your sound. Well done. All the best. Alan

Just wanted to let you know that we listened to your CD all the way home and enjoyed it very much! (English) Bill wasn't too sure he would have a very good time in Deadwood since he is not a gambler, but when he saw and heard you guys play, it was the light of his trip!! Thank you so much for an enjoyable evening! Monte, I told you that I would contact Silver City and see if they were hiring bands, but i haven't had the chance to yet, guess they sold the Silver City Saloon to another outfit, but i will either drive out there or call them and see what i can find out. Well, thanks again and we hope to see you again soon! PeggyLee Bill, Janet and Ken too
Hi Band, Just a short note to let you know that we really enjoyed your March 12th performance in Deadwood. The songs where as per albums, well done lads. Makes me want to pick up my guitar again. Here is the website for Rocking the Rivers. We would really like to see you there. http://www.rockintherivers.net/ Rockin the Rivers - Three Forks Montana :: Montana's Largest Rockfest Regards to Fred. Bill "The Brit at Tin Lizzies"
I have to say last Saturday night at the Alex Johnson was one of the most enjoyable evenings I have spent in a very long time. Took me back to the good old times. ;-) You guys were wonderful! Looking forward to hearing you again. Your awesome, Iris
Hey guys, I guess I'm your newest fan. I was in Rapid City for a few days visiting from Portland, Oregon. Caught your show Feb 4th 2005 at the Hotel Alex Johnson and got right back in line to get tickets for the show Feb 5th as soon as it was done. Unbelievable live performance, just fantastic. It took about 5 minutes to get your CD ripped onto my iPod (hey Monte, I got the track names and album art fixed!) However, it's already been over 24 hours since the Saturday show and I need another hit of the Abbey Road Band live! I'd LOVE to get a CD of your live show! Your live performance was astounding - the craftsmanship and attention to detail was just unreal. I probably know every note of each of the 215 released songs, but I've never seen it done live before, and it was fascinating to see and hear. Every half-beat delay in a lyric, each slight variation in a chorus between repetitions was obviously noticed and so faithfully reproduced it paid the ultimate respect to the material and the musicianship. You guys redefine the term "tribute band". From Don's killer dead-accurate solos (the room just couldn't hold the applause back until he was finished), Tony finishing a fantastic "Octopus' Garden" ONE HANDED when his mike came off the stand, Monte's ripping "Baby I'm Amazed" like he wrote it (oh, you did write it, didn't ya?) and Fred positively channeling Lennon in voice, mannerisms, and musicianship (how many instruments can you play at the same time???)... Well, it's safe to say I enjoyed the shows. I lucked out and got to chat with each of you during the breaks, and I enjoyed it a lot. In all honesty, it raised my appreciation of the music to an entirely new level - it seriously has. I really am going to get some buzz going around Portland to bring you guys out! Roger Bond from Portland Oregon Roger@PortlandComputerGuys.com
Hello Abbey Road Band, I say your last performance at the Tin Lizzy and again it was fantastic. My wife insists that we visit the "Tin Lizzy" when you are performing. Take care and We'll see you next Month, Dave & Joan from Gillette
Hey Don, This is your nephew Erik, I really like this Beatles band your in. I am going to the black hills over spring break with a few buudys and we would really like to hear your band play. I hope you have some shows lined up for that week. E-mail me with your dates if you have the time, my email is hoeg0019@d.umn.edu. Thanks Erik
keep up the good work.are you playing anywhere in Toronto Canada anytime soon? God Bless you
I had been trying to get over to Deadwood to see the group for some time, but finally caught their 'show' at the Dahl this past Sat. night, Jan 8th. I don't think I've ever enjoyed a live musical performance (by anyone!) more than I did listening to Abbey Road. It's absolutely wonderful music, performed by four dedicated and very talented people who have obviously worked very hard to bring the closest thing to live Beatle music there could ever be without John, Paul, George, and Ringo actually performing it. Close your eyes, listen, and it's 1964. Magic.
Dan, I played with Dave Wood this weekend and he told me of the Beatle tribute band , I'm one of the biggest fab 4 fans in the state. Even though I live in Minnesota. Good going and hope to see you one day sugar plum fairy, Butch Zierath (bzbassman@hotmail.com)

Hi Monte, Fred, Tony, and Don: Wanted to tell you how much Ken and I enjoyed your show last Saturday. It was great to meet you guys and I'm thankful to your wife, sister and friends, Monte, for allowing us to join them at their table. It was also so nice to meet your wife, Fred. We wish you much success and we will definitely spread the word about you here in Sheridan. You guys are great performers and entertainers. I'm enjoying the CD too, although its better to watch you in person. Take care and hope to see you again soon. God Bless, Meredith Ickler, Sheridan, WY
Hey you guys! I just got back from across the pond and wanted to write a quick note. It's Teri and Teri from the other week at the Central States Fair. We just wanted to say we loved the show and had a smashing time. Keep up the good work!
are you playing anywhere in CT anytime soon?
I was at your concert at Tin Lizzie's Saturday and I thought you guys were great. It brought me back to my teenage years, when I was in love with the Beatles music. I listened to them all the time. Keep it up, I will definitely come to more of your concerts.
I was recently at the Buffalo Chip Campground during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and I saw the best band ever!!!!! It was the Abbey Road Band!!!! They put on the best show I've seen in years!!! And I have been coming here and watching bands for the last 7 years!!!!!!!! I have seen ZZ Top, the Beach Boys, Reo Speedwagon, Kid Rock, Johnny Lang, and many others, but none had the presence that the Abbey Road Band has!!! I myself played music for 22 years, and I can tell you their sound is perfect!!!!!! I was sweep away down memory lane and brought back to the time that inspired me to become a performer in the first place!!!!! Thanks guys, you made the Buffalo Chip trip this year the BEST EVER!!!!!!!! I will try to be at every show!! Please let me know when you have another C.D. come out as I want them all!!!! Your friend always, Emmett Foster Helena, Montana
Hey Guys, You were fantastic on the 24th as usual. Patrick loves the CD he bought and got signed. Looking forward to seeing your show again soon. Dave & Joan, Patrick from Gillette
Hey Fred, what a delightful suprise to see you online! Hope all is well with you and yours. Say Hi to Paula for us. Your "roadie" on the Termopolous tour. George and Cyndi Pauwels
Great website, your family is terrific. Sheila Kirkpatrick/Lyle Graves Daughter-Mad Hatter Sharon Bakker/Lyle Greaves Daughter
REALLY enjoyed my niece's wedding dance - you guys are the ultimate! Haven't been to such a fun wedding dance ever. The music was great! You had several Beatle fans in the audience. (I'm one due to my older brothers.) I hope I get to hear you guys in person again someday! - Mary
I want to thank you for making my daughters wedding a night to remember! Your music is awesome! You sound just like the Beatles! Everything about you was perfect! Everyone had a blast...including our aunts and uncles and gramma! (And there is a generation gap there...but that didn't make a difference.) A good time was had by all!....little ones, to older ones! Thanks again for the most excellent wedding dance! Jennifer
Hey! We just listened to you guys play at my neice's wedding reception out at the Sylvan Lake Resort in the Black Hills this past weekend --- and you guys rock! (Love the CD, too!) It was clear that you were all really enjoying what you were doing very much, and so the audience was enjoying the music to the max. The Beatles wrote so many good songs, and it is great that you four guys can perform them so well! Thanx for making it a great wedding dance! ~ Steve & Ruth
You guys may not remember me, but my name is Tommy, and I went to see you guys play last September in Deadwood. I came all the way from Beresford on the other side of the state because I am a huge Beatle fan. Anyway, I've heard some other Beatle bands play, but you guys are truely the best. Your sound and commitment to the songs are perfect. Plus, you play songs from the early Fab Four to the later psychedelic studio experimenting sounds. Anyway, just saying you guys are awesome. Peace and Love.
Hello.... We loved your last show at Tin Lizzie....and we plan on being there for the next one. The girls from Brazil, and Spearfish. X.O.X.O
I thought your tribute to the Beatles really was good. So good I purchased your CD. Our family is having a reunion and we chose Deadwood as our location. We are anxious to meet you at Tin Lizzies where you are appearing Saturday the 24th, the day we get there. See you then. Maybe you can autograph my Cd. Linda
Hi guys. Nice website. I am in the california area and just wanted to let you know that I have a new website. It showcases my personal artwork and there is a page of beatle artwork you might enjoy. If there is anything you need for the band, just let me know. The site is at www.pictureart.biz email rhall1969@yahoo.com

There were quite a few from Hill City who tried to catch your sold-out show but were turned away. PLAY HILL CITY Please! caseyo@aol.com

BEATLES FORVER! AND KEEP THERE MUSIC STRONG AND LIVE FOREVER!
LOVE ALWAYS, YOUR BEATLEMANIAC ROCKYRACCOONFAB4!
We had heard that the music would be excellent, but what we didn't realize was that before the night was over, we would fall in love again on the dance floor to songs like "I Want To Hold Your Hand", and "Love Me Do". Colette & Austin Keith
A New Fan! That's what "Abbey Road Band" acquired after I attended their recent performance. Close your eyes and listen - you would swear the Beatles were singing right in front of you. The musical talent (including the English accents) of the members of "Abbey Road Band" (Monte Madison, Fred Gondzar, Tony Johnson, and Don Lerdal) is nothing short of incredible. Abbey Road Band treated me to a spectacular evening! Suzy
Concerning the Hotel Alex Johnson show, the night was fabulous, the band was wonderful, I could definately become a groupie. All the guys are so very talented, we had a whole table full of people going ga ga over Monty. Be happy. Evelyn

Finally saw you lads at the Tin Lizzie and plan to be at the Alex Johnson 40th. Excellent musicianship.
Hi. I am Kevin Dunn from Fort Collins, Colorado. I was at The Tin Lizzy last Saturday night, Dec. 27th. You guys rocked! You now have made me a Beatles fan in just one short night. I was talking to Fred and I told him that I was never "into" the Beatles, but somehow I realized that I knew almost all the #1 hits and also knew most of the words! Thanks for an absolute enjoyable evening!
Kevin
We love you Montey!!!
Love, Katie and Katherine (SD Youth convention)
Dear Abbey Road Band--saw your act for the first time last Saturday night in Deadwood--you guys are outstanding! We had a terrific time and were tremendously impressed at how true you are to the originals. What a wonderful rock down memory lane, reliving again the best music every written! Thanks for a totally awesome evening. We will be back again....Sincerely, Bruce and Jean Stinson, Hill City (and Dr. Peaches too!)

We loved your shows, both the one you did on the rooftop- and inside! Please do let us know when you will be playing again! You do an awesome job of honoring The Beatles' music. Thanks, ~Terrie~
Thanks for the fantastic shows at Deadwood on 8/23/03! We originally travelled there to see the car show. When I heard you were in town, I was instantly interested in hearing the group, and you more than met our expectations!
What a terrific concept -- of all the classic groups to chose for a tribute band, the Beatles have got to be the top choice. And even more, I was thrilled by how well you performed the material. On all the songs that we heard, the instruments sounded dead on -- right down to the Hofner bass and "Ricky" electric guitar. Oh, and I do believe that Mr. Harrison was known to play a yellow Tele at times, too. As I fellow guitar player, I enjoyed the guitar parts the most.
But, that's not to say that the vocals were lacking. On some of the songs, you really captured the essence of the Fab 4, more than I ever thought a group of regular fella's from South Dakota could!!
By the way, we got to see The Turtles perform in Deadwood that night, also. While they put on a good show, as well, I thought your sound was every bit as good as theirs. Had your performances been advertised more, I think you would have drawn a few more people. Maybe next time you can open for the main show next year . . .
In summary, I enjoyed the heck out of your show. I was humming Beatles tunes all the way home!! Thanks, and I hope you will carry on in the future, for your fans. Too bad Mark is leaving. Hmmm, if I traded my Stratocaster for a hollow body Gretsch and practiced my "e-based barre chords" maybe I can audition for his spot in the band ???? I'm only joking about the audition, but everything else here I really do mean. Take care,
Jeff Noble, Montana
You guys rock! We loved you!!
Sarah and Lynn - From Tin Lizzie's
This band is incredible! I love listening to them. I was recently listening to a recording of the Beatles and couldn't believe it...Abbey Road not only sounded like them they sounded better! It was like they have taken the best of the Beatles and stepped the quality, harmony and musical accuracy up to a greater level. WOW way to go guys! Love listening! -Kristi
Hi: I'm JR Stephenson. My wife and I danced alone in the first set at Tim Lizzy when you played there in May. We hope that we can be there in June as other Coldwell Banker people plan to show up. Please put us on your list of where you are playing, so we can show up when possible. Thanks. JR

Comment overheard in monitor world from a GR member " He really does look like a large Ringo".
The Grass Roots should have opened for Abby Road instead of the other way around. You guys were AWESOME!!!!! JT
Saw you guys for the first time at the Grass Roots Concert last night. WOW!!! Was I impressed! I was not expecting much and you guys totally blew the roof off the civic center in Rapid!!! I wish Rob Grill had done as good of an impression of the Grass Roots (and true to the original recording), as you did with your Beatles set! I am going to have to make a trip from Denver up to Deadwood just to see you at your Tin Lizzy gig!
Thank you for a great concert!!!

I think you are all a bunch of "Hippies"! Keep up the good work. Mick McTee
Hello Abbey Road, My name is Jack, and I am a Big fan of the Beatles. I am also a player. I played in bands that covered a few numbers. I saw your show at the fair, and I was very impressed with the vocals. I know for a fact how hard some songs are to sing, especially the early years. I really like the harmonies. I thought they were great!!! I was really surprised with the age of the group...because I was shocked!!! I thought Abbey Road was a younger group, but you guys did a good job. From one player to other, keep up the good work. Believe it or not, there will be Beatles fans where ever you go. Jack G.
Enjoy enjoy enjoy your group. Will do my best to listen to you often...Suzy
Being from "that generation", music from the 60's and early 70's appeals to me more than any other popular music. I caught the very end of your short concert at the Heritage Festival and was sorry I missed the first part. When a friend said you were going to be at the Central States Fair I had to be there. You guys are doing a great job! Jeri H.
YOUR SHOW WAS REALLY, REALLY GOOD! CAROL P.
My husband and I were there last Saturday night. It was really good. It brought back a lot of memories. I sang along, too! It was fun. Sue E.
Thought your show was great! Was disappointed you didn't play longer as there was no one scheduled after you. Pete A.
Your tape was unbelievable. Monty played it for us. Johnny S.
We had a great time at the show and really enjoyed the music. It was very well done and just about the closest I've heard to real Beatle music. Raul D.
Hey you guys are good, and the quality of that recording is excellent!! I've got the tape playing in my car now, and at times I forget I'm not listening to the real thing (Beatles). Rory
Monte rocks!! I love you Abbey Road!!!!!!!
