REMINISCENT OF THE BEATLES LEGENDARY ROOFTOP CONCERT
AT APPLE RECORDS IN LONDON, THE "ABBEY ROAD
BAND" PERFORMED AN HOUR LONG BEATLES TRIBUTE SHOW,
FREE TO THE PUBLIC, FROM THE ROOFTOP OF TIN
LIZZIE IN DEADWOOD, SOUTH DAKOTA, ON FRIDAY, AUGUST
23 FROM 4:30PM TO 5:30PM.
THIS SHOW WAS THE FIRST CONCERT OF THE "KOOL
DEADWOOD NITES" WEEKEND CELEBRATION. PEOPLE COMING
INTO TOWN FOR THE OTHER SCHEDULED FESTIVITIES DROVE
RIGHT BY THE ROOFTOP SHOW AND HEARD THE MUSIC. EVERYONE
HAD A SMILE AS THEY WENT BY, AND MANY CAME OVER NEAR THE
TIN LIZZIE BUILDING TO WATCH AND LISTEN AS WE PERFORMED
OUR SHOW.
ACCORDING TO TIN
LIZZIE CO-OWNER, DONNIE PATTON, "I LOVE THE
BEATLES MYSELF, AND KOOL DEADWOOD NITES IS THE PERFECT
OPPORTUNITY TO OFFER A TRIBUTE TO THE BEATLES. WE
ALSO WANTED TO SHARE IT WITH EVERYONE, AND THE ROOFTOP
SEEMED...REALLY COOL!"
DONNIE WAS RIGHT.....IT WAS REALLY COOL!!!
WE HAD A BLAST, AND ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO DOING IT
AGAIN NEXT YEAR!!
